Inspiration Thursday #17

Here’s some of the most fantastic pieces that I’ve come across this week while digging around in hard to reach places.

The first is a mind-blowing piece from the motion graphics team at Elevation Church. It was directed by Geoff Schultz.

The next two pieces were created in-house here at NewSpring by Michael Jones and Darrin Dick for our summer camp for our Fuse* Student Ministry called the Gauntlet. They’re apart of the branding for the weeek.

This next piece has some incredible imagery shot in the midst of an onset of fog.  According to the notes it was shot from a car on a 5D and 7D in Oregon, Washington and Victoria, Canada in December 2009. It was photographed and directed by Phillip Van.

One Day on Earth

I really really loved this short film from Jason Wingrove.  It was filmed to be apart of the One Day on Earth movement that took place on October 10, 2010.  Thousands of people from every nation around the world filmed their perspective and contributed their voice to the largest participatory media event in history. One Day on Earth is an online community, a video time capsule and a film.  Jason’s entry really struck my eye as the coloring and cinematography are both fantastic.  Filmed entirely on Canon DSLR’s.

Inspiration Thursday #12

It’s been a couple of weeks since we hit up a little Inspiration Thursday and so here’s some work that I have been really digging lately.  Check it out…hope you get something out of them like I did.

This first one is a music video from Jonsi.  It’s one of the best music video’s I have ever seen.  The tight macro shots are amazing.  I love that we never get a big picture of anything and that your mind is left to put the rest of the pieces together.

This is a fantastic reel from Dan DiFelice.  Dan is a freelance motion graphics genius.  You can check out his website.  If you don’t already follow Dan’s work, you should.

Really really loved this project from Colin Hesterly.  Fantastic art direction and design. Wonderful tribute to Saul Bass.
