.::WYSBLT-Mat Kearney::.
New feature today on the blog, it’s called ‘What you should be listening to’ (WYSBLT). Now far be it from me to dictate what your music library holds, but I certainly let you in on what mine holds. The first installation in a series of posts in the months to come is from artist Mat Kearney. Mat combines a unique blend of pop/alternative/hip-hop. It sounds weird, but trust me it works. Here’s a selection from his new album Young Love called ‘Ships in the Night’.
You can pick up Mat’s new album here.
Still Frame: Fuse Acoustic Sessions
Hey there. Been awhile since I utilized this blog for some projects I’ve been working on. Lots has been going on in my world over the last several months, but it’s time to share what’s been going on.
Yesterday a few of us went up to Greenville to record some acoustic performances of some new tracks our FUSE* Band was laying down. The music was incredible and I’m really pumped about these new tunes we are getting ready to share with everyone.
Until then, here are a few still frames from the session with a rough color grade on it. Filmed the event on 3 Canon 5D DSLR’s and 1 Canon 7D using a variety of lenses.
.::Song for Christmas by Phil Wickham::.
I came across this new Christmas album last night. Generally I am not one for any type of Christmas music, but because it had Phil’s name on it I gave it a whirl. It’s one of the most original spins on existing holiday music I’ve ever heard. Some fantastic arrangements on Christmas classics. Check out ‘The First Noel’ of the album. You can download the album here.
.::Rivers Edge by Great Lake Swimmers::.
Relaxing. Peaceful. Story-driven. A gorgeous piece by Nir Ben Jacob.
Music is by the Great Lake Swimmers.
Enjoy.
